I am Hazelle  Rogers, a long time resident of the city of Lauderdale Lakes with a 20 year history of  public service to this city.  I am a mentor to many citizens, with a passion for service to nonprofits, business and other community groups.

I know firsthand the hardships and challenges of local government and believe that we must have concrete, well investigated solutions in order to offer them up in policy discussions.  I was first elected to public service in 1996 after losing my first election in 1995 by 2 votes for the City of Lauderdale Lakes and since then my commitment to service has not ceased. In 2008, I was honored that my constituents had the confidence in my abilities and commitment to elect me to the Florida House of Representatives. In every position that I have held, I have served this city and the needs of THIS community have guided my decision making.  I have served you with distinction for 20 consecutive years and look forward to many more years of the progression of the gem of a city that we fondly regard as the City of Lauderdale Lakes.

I am proud to have the opportunity to focus my experience on Lauderdale Lakes in the capacity of Mayor and ask for your support.  I believes in consensus building around issues and support programs that will lift community members out of poverty into financial stability.  Part of that plan includes engaging business owners into mutually beneficially partnerships. Economic empowerment  and economic development for this city are my passion and focus.  I look forward to hearing from you individually to discuss the future and to discuss my run for Mayor of our city.
